Auction Terms & Conditions
These are the conditions for participation in the Strong Through Art Foundation charity auction:
1. Participation:
The terms and conditions for the Strong Through Art Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the organizer) charity auction(s) will be amended over time to give the buyer, organizer, and seller (artist) the best possible outcome.
All candidates must be at least 18 years old, with no country or nationality restrictions.
There is no registration fee.
If the artwork is sold, the artist receives 50% of the final price, the organizer takes care of the exchange rate and other financial transaction costs.
The buyer pays for the transport costs from the artist to the address of choice of the buyer.
The artist is subject to the terms and conditions in the agreement between the organizer and the artists. Additional agreements between the buyer and the artists will be made upon purchase of the artwork.
The organizer reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time, with notification through the newsletter.
Only individual artists and artist collectives can participate; galleries or sales agents are excluded.
The number of works for the regular auction is unlimited.
The number of works in the special auction per artist will be determined after selection.
Selected works must be available during the entire regular and special auction period, which is at least 14 days, plus two weeks after the last day of the sold artwork (lot).
Only framed works will be accepted for the exhibitions, and there are no restrictions on the shape or weight of the artwork.
The organizer always has the right to refuse participation if there is any doubt about the participant or the artwork submitted.
2. Applications:
Applications are submitted online via the registration tool.
Each applicant can submit an unlimited number of artworks per auction in high-quality photographs.
A series of artworks can count as one work, but no more than three artworks in a series.
All artworks will be checked by a team of art experts and a curator from the organizer.
Completed application forms for a special auction must be sent before the deadline. Late applications will automatically be considered for the next auction round.
All required information must be completed on the form. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
Additional information and photos may be requested by the organizer.
The deadline for special auctions is every 20th before the start of the auction round.
Each application must include one artwork, one series, and one price.
After applying, each applicant will receive an acknowledgment of receipt.
All information must be completed in English.
Auctions are held throughout the year by default. An artwork (lot) remains in the auction for a maximum of 10 days.
3. Selection:
Artworks in the medium of painting, drawing, etching, sculpture, photography, ceramics, digital art, and art as furniture are welcome to participate.
The organizer's cultural committee is responsible for the independent selection of artworks.
A reserve list will be created for selected artists who are unwilling to attend the live auction. They will be replaced by a candidate from the reserve list.
Results will be communicated to all artists by e-mail. Selected artists must confirm their participation within 5 days of notification.
The organizers have control over the presentation of the artworks during the exhibitions and showcases and may make changes to the auction status to ensure a fair and professional experience. All changes will be communicated to the selected artists.
4. Prices:
The starting price of the auction lot will be determined by the artist. The organizer can provide advice through its team of art experts and a curator, if necessary.
5. Participants:
Applicants must provide correct information as required in the registration form.
The organizer has the right to request additional details about the proposed works and reserves the right to reject any item.
6. Shipping:
The artwork will be available at the artist's location for the duration of the auction, as indicated in the lot.
Shipping will be handled by the seller and shipping costs will be borne by the buyer.
7. Publicity:
All exhibitors of auctions, live auctions, art fairs, and benefit dinners are invited to the official opening and are encouraged to promote the event through personal publicity or digital means.
8. Copyright:
For promotional purposes, artists temporarily grant exclusive copyrights to the organizer, both nationally and internationally.
Promotional use includes dissemination through press channels and the internet (digital).
The copyright remains the property of the exhibitor and the exhibitor must ensure that it does not infringe any other copyright.
9. Applicable laws:
The general law and conditions of sale are applied according to Dutch law or the law of the country where the event is held.
